Southern California Pool LandscapeWhen the Pesci family purchased and remodeled this home they also knew they would need to remodel the outdoor spaces. Yet, they felt a bit overwhelmed by the large task at hand. It was our pleasure to work with this client to first help them evaluate and make sense of their situation. We were then retained to develop a Master Plan for this very large property as the client knew that it would take a series of years to implement all of the ideas they wanted designed for their property. The Master Plan revealed three distinct phases for this project and the client requested that we develop construction drawings and be responsible for the administration of the bidding and construction portions of the project for Phase I which included a new pool, spa, raised pool patio with a masonry sofa and firepit, a solid roof entertainment pavilion that includes a full outdoor kitchen, a new sun deck off the upstairs bedrooms, walkways throughout Phase I that allow the children to skate, bike, and run all around the property, a large lawn area where the family enjoys sport activities, and a peaceful all white garden where tea parties can be enjoyed away from the more active portions of the property. An extensive retaining wall allowed us to increase the useable spaces and create more storage areas. The landscaped areas are enjoyed into the evening hours with the landscape lighting system designed specifically for this project. Phase II will implement the ideas developed for the front yard and Phase III will allow the client to make the lower sloped portions of their property more accessible and useable in the future.
